Dynaco Solid-State Stereo 120 Watt Amp and PAT-4 Preamp

A neighbor gave me these neat old late 1960s Dynaco items recently.  They seem to work ok, although the balance and volume controls are noisy.

These are some of the first solid state Dynaco products, neither one appears in my 1966 Allied catalog, but both are shown in the 1968 catalog.

Here's the inside of the amplifier.  The two output transistors for the right channel have been replaced (they are NTE items), and there was a bit of wiring done to repair traces on the pcb.  Most of the amp is power supply....

And the 1968 Allied catalog page listing both of these items.

I have the amp connected to my computer now driving some old Technics speakers, it plays mp3s with much better sound quality than the little Altec Lansing powered speakers I had before.
