1957 Chevy Suburban Project

This is part of my 57 Chevy Suburban. The new chassis has a 73 Camaro clip installed, and a 9" Ford rearend. I moved the rear springs in and under the axle, to give it added tire room, and lower it a couple inches. The 454 big block and TH400 crossmember are installed.

This is the body. I have sandblasted the interior, roof, firwall, and door jambs. I have widened the rear wheel tubs for wider tires. Now I'm doing bodywork on the quarter panels:

The right quarter was the worst, it required a bunch of patching of rust holes, and had some long, shallow dents.  The drivers side only had rust in a few places, and hardly any dents. The turquoise paint is original! and probably what I'll paint the truck when the time comes.  For now I need to get the firewall figured out, which holes I can fill and which to leave, once I paint the firewall I can get the body on it's new chassis and free up some room in the shop.

Oh, I did the firewall, this is the first coat of primer, I still need to smooth it out some more.
